Refusing to accept that accidents are inevitable in construction, Bradford Watts Ltd has embraced the Zero Harm philosophy

Our target is to achieve Zero Harm across the company by 2013 and that means:

  • Zero fatalities.
  • Zero injuries to the public.
  • Zero permanently disabling injuries.
  • No long term harm to health.
  • An Accident Frequency Rate (AFR) of less than 0.1 by end of 2014.

Our approach will be to embed the Zero Harm principle in all our processes.

The crucial work we have already started on behavioral change, involving not only Bradford Watts employees but also our Supply Chain & Contractors will help us make the step-changes necessary to achieve these objectives.

Above all, we'll be calling on everyone to "Make Safety Personal".

Zero Harm ranks among the biggest challenges we've faced. We don't have all the answers yet but we do have knowledge, creativity and a determination to achieve this goal.
