Project Description:

Conversion of existing government building into two period Georgian houses.

The project brief was to convert the existing single office building into two period Georgian houses complete with curved staircases, lift and dumb waiter, numerous bedrooms with high specification en-suite bathrooms, roof gardens, fitted kitchens as well as grand entrance halls and spacious dining rooms.

To achieve such a dramatic change in the layout and function of the building involved major structural alterations to the existing reinforced concrete frame. These alterations affected the entire fabric of the building from the reconfiguration of the existing piled foundations and structural supports to removing and re-designing all the existing floors.
